Frances Koral— We had to sign up for a course which would make it legitimate as a college project. I had a choice of geology or rural sociology so I took rural sociology. We all slept through the classes, including the professor. I mean, we learned absolutely nothing of rural sociology. The teacher was also in the field so he was as tired as we were. And he wasn't about to flunk anybody.
Marjorie Brockman— I do remember that we had to go to classes.
Elliot Levine— I think that they were worried that if we didn't take any courses, if we didn't stand to lose, a lot of us would decide we didn't want to stay and we'd go home. And in fact, I would have.
Marion Greenstone— We were taking credit courses with Professor Minor and somebody else. They were two of the oldest teachers in the English Department and I guess they liked the idea of getting away for the summer. We took, I guess, one of the basic English classes that we had to take in second year or first year. And we'd be very sleepy. But I think we all passed the courses.
Phyllis LeShaw— I love math. So I took Math with Dr. Freisher. And sang in the church there. I sang Ave Maria every Sunday.
