ASHP/CML is interested in providing internships for history
students (public and social history), and those interested in social studies
education and new media. We can also occasionally offer internships for students
with various technical skills (html, Final Cut Pro, Pro-Tools). Interns may
assist in research and production of our educational materials (dvd's and
websites) or in preparing for the many professional development programs we
run for New York City high school and middle school teachers.
We cannot provide pay but we encourage and support internships for class credit.
During summer internships we ask that students commit to work at least 20
hours a week for 2-8 weeks. May, June and July are the better months since
much of the staff is away in August, but there is flexibility on dates.
